Chinatown Buzz

Hey guys,

I'm currently a freshmen at BC, and I'm from Hong Kong so I like my asian cuisine quite a bit. I might make a trip to chinatown every other weekend and catch up with a couple of friends at an asian restaurant. Chinatown is about a 45 minute commute from main campus. It depends on how the buses run because they come less often on the weekends than weekdays. Once you get a bus from main campus to the Reservoir T stop it's pretty much straight on towards government center to Park Street T stop, a shortwalk to the Downtown Crossing Orange line and one stop away is Chinatown, or once you know your way around better, you can take the Green line from the Reservoir T stop to Boylston and it's a short walk to Chinatown. One of my favorite restaurants that I go to often is called Shabu-Zen. It's a japanese restaurant and my favorite dish is the hot pot. You can get a full plate of vegetables, a full plate of meat, and your choice of noodles or rice to accompany it all for $11.00 USD!! They offer a variety of meats and seafood.

Just down the street is a supermarket full of asian snacks, including chocolate koalas, pocky, hi-chew you name it! The place is called C-Mart and it is possibly my favorite place to buy snacks!

Hope you guys can try it!!
